Pre-K Attends Destination Ag
Pre-K students recently attended Destination Ag in Tifton, GA, where they had a fun and meaningful learning experience centered around agriculture. The children rotated through four interactive sessions: Living with Livestock, Busy Bees, Animals Around the Clock, and enjoyed some free time on the playground.
During the visit, students learned about farm animals and even had the opportunity to pet goats. They explored what animals need to survive and discovered where milk comes from, including getting a chance to pretend to milk a stationary cow. Children learned about different turtle species, including nocturnal and diurnal ones. Students also had the opportunity to pet them.
In the Busy Bees session, students learned about bees and pollination. They were introduced to how beekeepers gather honey and the equipment they use. One of the highlights of the trip was when a Pre-K student had the opportunity to dress up in a beekeeper’s uniform!
Overall, it was a wonderful hands-on experience that brought learning to life for our Pre-K students.
