We are honored to welcome Jessica Arnett, MPH, Opioid Prevention Analyst for District 8-1 with the Georgia Department of Public Health. Ms. Arnett will share valuable information with families and students about opioid awareness, prevention strategies, and available community resources.
In addition, staff will provide important updates and preparation information regarding the upcoming Georgia Milestones Assessment System, including what students can expect and how parents can support their child at home.
This evening will provide essential information to help keep our students safe, informed, and prepared. We strongly encourage all families to attend.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Busy weekday mornings can make it a challenge for many families to find time for a healthy breakfast. Fortunately, Irwin County Schools offers nutritious school breakfasts each day to ensure students are fueled and ready for learning.
We appreciate our School Nutrition team for the great work they do in providing healthy meals for our students each morning. We encourage all students to join us for breakfast during this special week of celebration!

Irwin County Schools will be closed Monday, March 16, 2026, due to the threat of severe weather. Please stay safe and continue to monitor local weather updates as the system moves through our area tomorrow morning.
The latest update we received included a squall line early Monday morning. Medium-large hail possible. 70 mph winds. A few tornadoes possible. Discreet cells ahead of the front could have large (ef2+) tornadoes and large hail. The tornadoes along the line will be brief. Again, please make sure you have a way to get weather alerts.

Our School Nutrition team works hard every day to provide nutritious and delicious breakfast options for our students, and we appreciate all they do to help our students start the day off right.
We encourage all students to join us for breakfast during this fun week of celebration!
